Shiprocket is an Indian shipping aggregator. Connecting it exposes the courier partners in your Shiprocket account through a single integration.
Shiprocket serves Indian domestic shipping. Rates are returned for destinations within India.

Credentials

Shiprocket authenticates with your Email ID and Password — the same credentials you use to sign in to the Shiprocket dashboard, rather than a separate API key.
Because this is your account login, treat it carefully. If you change your Shiprocket password, update it here too or rate queries will start failing silently and customers will fall back to your default rate.

Setting up the rate

Add a rate to your zone

In your rule, click Add rate on the zone you want.

Set the calculation parameter to Shiprocket

Choose Shiprocket under the live carrier options.

Enter your Email ID and Password

Your Shiprocket account credentials.

Decide on delivery estimates

Tick Hide estimated delivery dates to suppress the estimates Shiprocket returns.

Select which rates to show

Choose All rates, Highest rate only, or Lowest rate only.

Configure packaging

Set Packaging box distribution and define your boxes. See the packing algorithm.

Set a default rate

Default rate is used if Shiprocket doesn’t respond.

Selecting which rates to show

Shiprocket typically returns quotes from many courier partners at once. Showing all of them puts a long, confusing list in front of the customer.
Lowest rate only is the sensible default. Customers rarely have a view on which Indian courier partner should carry their parcel, and a shorter list converts better.

Pincode serviceability

Shiprocket returns rates based on whether the destination pincode is serviceable by its partners. An unserviceable pincode returns nothing — which is exactly when your Default rate matters.
Without a default rate, a customer in a pincode no partner serves sees no shipping option at all. Set one, even if it’s a conservative figure you’d rather not charge.

Testing

  1. Add products with accurate weights and dimensions
  2. Check out to a real Indian address, using a fresh address each time
  3. Test a metro pincode and a remote one — they price very differently
  4. Confirm the fallback behaves as you expect for an unserviceable pincode
