Live carrier rates cannot be translated
To localise a carrier rate’s name, use a Rename customization instead, combined with a Cart Locale condition so each language gets its own rename rule.Which translation is used
The translation matching the customer’s checkout locale is shown. If there’s no translation for their language, the original rate name and description are used.Dynamic dates still work
All the date placeholders —{{today}}, {{today+N}}, {{today+Nwd}}, and {{today+Nsd}} — work inside translated descriptions exactly as they do in the original.
Testing
- Switch your storefront to the target language
- Add products and proceed to checkout
- Confirm the rate name and description appear translated
- Use a fresh address each time, since rates are cached per address
You can also target rules by language directly — see the Cart Locale condition in Cart Conditions.
