The Settings page holds the store-wide options that sit behind your rules. Several of them — syncing, app modes, blending — are referenced throughout the rest of these docs, so this is the reference for what each one does.

App Modes

Two independent toggles control whether ShipMagic affects real customers.
These are separate toggles. Turning on rates does not turn on customizations. A half-live launch — rates showing but the hide rules that should accompany them still dormant — is a common and avoidable mistake.
Live mode requires a paid plan. See Billing and Going Live.

Products

Sync Now

Syncs your product catalogue into the app. Required for rules using Product Tag, Product Type, Product Title, Product Barcode, or Product Compare-at Price — Shopify doesn’t send these at checkout, so ShipMagic reads its own copy. Syncing runs in the background; you can leave the page.

Auto Product Sync

Automatically syncs newly created products.
Auto sync covers new products only. If you edit an existing product’s tags, type, or title, you must run a manual sync — auto sync will not pick the change up.
Full detail in Syncing Products.

Shipping Zones

Sync now pulls your Shopify shipping zones into the app so you can attach rates to them. The page shows a Last synced timestamp, or Not synced yet. Re-sync whenever you add, rename, or delete a zone in Shopify. See Adding / Modifying Shipping Zones.

Blending

Basic

How rates with the same name combine: Add rates, Show the highest rate only, or Show the lowest rate only.

Set limits while adding rates

Appears only when Basic blending is Add rates. Lets you cap or floor named shipping methods. See Setting Maximum and Minimum Shipping Rates.

Advanced

How rates with different names combine, grouped by the tags on each rate. See Rate Blending.

Contact Email

The address ShipMagic uses to reach you — including where the product dimensions CSV export is sent. If that export isn’t arriving, check this field first.

Clone Setup

Your Store API Secret

The secret other stores use to clone from this store. Share it only with stores you want to grant a copy of your configuration.
Anyone holding this secret can read this store’s shipping configuration. Treat it as a credential.

Clone Configuration

Imports rules, customizations, and settings from another store using its secret. This overwrites the current store’s setup and cannot be undone — see Cloning Full Setup from One Store to Another.
